Make 2nds Count can help find a trial for you!
The UK Charity for Triple Negative Breast Cancer is delighted that today, 20th February, the charity “Make 2nds Count” is relaunching their clinical trials service.
This is a free information and support service provided by experienced breast cancer nurses to help people with secondary (metastatic or advanced) breast cancer explore clinical trials as part of their treatment.
These clinical trials are research studies that aim to find new or better treatments, usually with drugs but sometimes other types of treatment, for people with secondary breast cancer. Being on the right trial can potentially help patients live longer, better lives but also to find better treatments for future patients.
This is particularly important for people with triple negative breast cancer, who are more likely to develop secondary cancer, where the cancer has spread to other parts of the body.
Finding the right information about eligible clinical trials can, however, be challenging. Make 2nds Count clinical trials nurses can guide you through this process by answering any questions, carrying out a search of trials tailored to your situation and supporting you in discussions with those caring for you..
